Parade Entry Application Info
The Halifax Pride Parade will take place Saturday, July 20, 2019 starting at 1:00 pm through downtown Halifax. Experience the power of community gathering, celebration, and activism as a part of the 2019 Halifax Pride Parade. By entering the parade, your group has the opportunity to take part in one of this city’s largest community events, demonstrate your support for 2SLGBTQ+ equality and equity, and help make the Halifax Pride Festival possible.
Halifax Pride encourages participation by groups that desire to support their community and share the principal ideals of Halifax Pride: pride, empowerment, respect and diversity in all forms.
Halifax Pride works hard to ensure community members and groups are the focus of our parade and festival. 2SLGBTQ+ Community/ Not-for-Profit Groups listing queer support and engagement in their Mission, Visions, and Values are exempt from application fees and given priority placement at the front of the parade.

Consider making your parade participation part of a sponsored partnership with Halifax Pride! For details on sponsoring Halifax Pride, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please note that two parade information sessions will take place on Tuesday, June 25th at the Halifax Central Library at 3:00 pm and 6:00 pm. Parade applicants are asked to attend one of those sessions and full session details will be emailed to applicants in the weeks prior to the event.
