Halifax Pride offers several opportunities for businesses, artists, and community organizations to participate in the festival. Our vendor spaces highlight local talent, support community organizations, and create vibrant gathering spaces during Pride celebrations.
community market (Parade Day)
The Halifax Pride Community Market takes at the Garrison Grounds following the Pride Parade and is designed to highlight local 2SLGBTQIA+ organizations, creators, and businesses.

Participation in the Community Market is limited to the following groups:

Organizations whose mandate includes supporting or improving the lives of 2SLGBTQIA+ people.
Groups must be able to demonstrate that their mission and work align with this purpose.
These organizations participate in the Community Market to highlight the important work of community service providers and advocacy groups that support 2SLGBTQIA+ communities.
Vendor fees: by donation. Organizations are welcome to contribute what they are able, but payment is not required.

Local artisans who identify as 2SLGBTQIA+ and sell handmade goods or original products.
Products offered at the Community Market must be unique items that are not available for purchase through a physical retail outlet.
This category is intended to highlight the creativity, artistry, and entrepreneurship of local 2SLGBTQIA+ makers.
Vendor fee: $50

Small businesses that meet the following criteria:
At least 50% 2SLGBTQIA+ owned and operated
Independently owned and operated, with no corporate affiliation to national or international chains
Generates $500,000 or less in annual revenue
Operates primarily within the Halifax Regional Municipality
This category supports local queer entrepreneurs and small businesses within our community.
Vendor fee: Pay What You Can, with a $50 minimum
QTBIPOC MARKET (MELANATION, 19+)
The QTBIPOC Market takes place during melaNATION, Halifax Pride’s event celebrating Queer and Trans Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour communities.
This market is specifically for QTBIPOC artists, makers, and entrepreneurs, creating space to uplift and celebrate the creativity, culture, and entrepreneurship within these communities.

FOOD VENDORS
Food vendors are an important part of the Halifax Pride festival experience. We welcome applications from local restaurants, food trucks, and specialty food vendors offering a variety of cuisines and options for festival attendees.
Food vendor applications are reviewed on a first-come-first served basis, and based on factors such as:
menu diversity
ability to serve large crowds efficiently
food safety and licensing requirements
inclusion of vegetarian, vegan, and other dietary options when possible
Food vendor fees
Vendor fees for food vendors are based on location:
Tier 1 Locations - $750 per day
Food vendors located within the main festival site.
Tier 2 Locations - $350 per day
Food vendors located adjacent to or outside the main festival site.
Please indicate in your application which location you would prefer. Placement will be determined based on vendor needs, site layout, and operational considerations.
