Ryan is a communications and public affairs professional with experience working at the intersection of government, economic development, and public policy. In his day-to-day work, he helps shape conversations around growth, infrastructure, and how communities adapt to change.

As a board member, Ryan is interested in the role Pride plays as both a cultural and economic driver — creating opportunities for tourism, supporting 2SLGBTQIA+ entrepreneurs, and ensuring queer communities are represented in the spaces where decisions about growth and investment are made. He believes strong communities are built when more people have the opportunity to participate, contribute, and help shape what comes next.

Outside of work, Ryan can be found teaching spin classes, paddle boarding, or exploring Halifax's many neighbourhoods with his dog, Ollie.
