Intersessions: An Inclusive Sound Initiative registration is open!
The Halifax Pride Festival is proud to offer Intersessions: An Inclusive Sound Initiative: Providing Safer Spaces For Women + LGBTQ+ Folks, hosted by Chippy Nonstop. This seminar aims to address the significant gender and sexuality based imbalance within the music industry, offering DJ and sound focused workshops for women, and those within the LGBTQ+ spectrum.
Intersessions provides safe spaces for participants to support one another, access equipment, receive mentorship and build community. We strive to promote diversity through access, support and the power of music.
The workshop will take place at Alteregos, at 2193 Gottingen Street on Friday, July 28th, 2017, from 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm. The maximum number of participants will be 10, so make sure you register soon! Registration is required and admission ($10 or pay what you can) will be accepted at the door. No one will be turned away for lack of funds.

Community Market Registration
Registration is now open for the Community Market! The Market will take place during the Gottingen Block Party on Friday, July 28th from 6 pm - 10 pm. Booth registration is open to local 2SLGBTQ+ artisans and community advocacy groups or not-for-profit organizations that focus on 2SLGBTQ+ communities.
- Artisans must be 2SLGBTQ+ identifying, locally based, selling items that have been hand crafted by the vendor, and unavailable for purchase at a physical outlet.
- Groups are required to have a mandate and mission that includes the betterment of the lives of 2SLGBTQ+ persons.
