Parade Accessibility FEATURES

Halifax Pride strives to create an accessible festival and line up of events. The parade has many accessibility features to allow for a full experience for all our community members.

ACCESSIBLE PARKING

A limited number of accessible parking spaces are available near the accessible viewing spaces. Accessible parking location to be announced.

ACCESSIBLE VIEWING AREA

This is a designated, accessible area with available seating, shade, snacks, and a prime view of the parade. Volunteers will be on site to assist guests and answer questions. Location to be announced.

DESCRIBED VIEWING AREA

The Described Viewing area offers live description of the parade and entries. The area is accessible, shaded, and offers seating. Location to be announced.

ELDERS AREA

This space will be reserved for elder members of the community, providing them with seating and shade. The space in front of the tent will be kept clear of any individuals who might obstruct the view. A volunteer will also be on site to assist as needed and provide water and snacks to elders. This designated area to be announced.

LOW SENSORY VIEWING AREA

The Low Sensory Viewing Area is a quiet, sensory friendly, indoor viewing space. It includes snacks, seating, sensory activities, and volunteers to assist guests. Location to be announced.
